Welcome to GDEA

The GDEA is an electronic repository and archive for research materials on the topic of Graph Drawing. The goal of the GDEA is to collect as many potential research materials on this topic as possible, both for current use and for permanent archiving.

New feature

We are happy to present the visualization of all authors of papers published in the Proceedings of the International Symposium on Graph Drawing between 1995 and 2011. It can be viewed using a prototype web interface in a regular or mobile browser.
Based on the paper Drawing Clustered Graphs as Topographic Maps, the co-authorship network is drawn as a topographic map. The basic idea is to generate a landscape where the nodes in different subtrees of the cluster hierarchy are separated by water, a valley, or a rift. With increasing distance from the root cluster, nodes will be located in the lowlands, the highlands, and ultimately, on mountain peaks.

A GML file of the graph can be found here.

Authors who wish to post materials should consult the GDEA F.A.Q. Area.
